Romantic Couple Portraits in Venice at Christmas

Elsa and Angel are my dear Miami clients and friends whom I met for the first time in Venice on the occasion of the Renewal of the Wedding Vows which they organized in April 2016 in this beautiful city. Even with them, immediately, a beautiful relationship was born and They became great friends over the years. I then reviewed them in February 2018 on the occasion of the famous Venice Carnival (HERE the post on my blog of that photo shoot) and then also at Christmas this year, to celebrate a special birthday of Elsa! Elsa celebrated her birthday on December 31st and I on January 1st and so this year we decided to toast together with these important moments in life! Just to celebrate this special birthday, Elsa and Angel wanted a new couple photo shoot in Venice, this time more intimate and romantic than the previous ones … Needless to say, Venice is always spectacular, but during Christmas it has an almost magical atmosphere , the day of the photo shoot even more because the city was surrounded by a thick fog, really surreal! With Elsa and Angel we walked in the small streets full of lights, ate a very good ice cream (the really mild temperature of this winter allowed it ..), We stopped to observe the gondolas that take tourists around the canals, and then We went to make a nice toast in Piazza San Marco! We shared some beautiful moments, many hugs and smiles! and these are the things I love most about my job! Thanks my friends for everything !! Hope to see you soon in Miami as I promised !

I have no words to express our gratitude to you because even though you were on vacation on that specific week, you traveled to Venice to make me happy. Venice is a wonderful city, much visited by tourists from all over the world. Many times we come to Venice to celebrate special occasions, wedding anniversaries, a birthday or just to visit it. A birthday was the occasion that brought this american family to this beautiful city. In fact, before returning to the United States, this beautiful family decided to have a different memory, a photo shoot of portraits with their children. What better way to remember this moment forever? A photograph has the power to revive so many shared emotions forever. Here are some of the photos that I did, and of course, could not miss a beautiful gondola ride, Venice admired by its calm canals at sunset is wonderful !

WINTER FAMILY PORTRAITS IN VENICE

Making portraits to someone who is a photographer too is never easy but it often happens like in this case with this beautiful American family, came from New York to Venice for a Christmas Holiday, to spend some fantastic hours in this wonderful city. Since their last photos were of many years before, when the guys were still children, they took advantage to make new family portraits. The mother is a New York photographer, here you can look at her website Shawn Kahal Photography. A very nice and smiling family, not afraid of the low temperature of december (perhaps because in New York they have much colder winter). We walked around Venice, descovering wonderful corners, even if in this city each corner is incredibile! They left me a beautiful memory and they are waiting for me in New York to photograph another of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Wedding Proposal in Venice – Louis and Dulce

Louis arrived from the United States to Venice to ask his beloved Dulce to become his wife. A proposal organized by the excellent staff of Brilliant Wedding Venice. During a gondola ride, Dulce saw a poster with their giant photograph drop in, where he could read Louis’s beautiful words: “Dulce on this special day I want you to be mine forever, will you be mine forever ? “ The emotion of the girl was a lot, of course she said yes! 🙂 so Louis could conclude the romantic moment by putting his engagement ring on her finger between the applause of the people who were celebrating with the couple this special moment! Then we continued to visit Piazza San Marco full of tourists and its most beautiful areas. Here you can see some photos of the marriage proposal I made !

John and Beatriz from USA to Venice for a Surprise Wedding Proposal

John flew from the USA to ask his beloved Beatriz to become his wife with the help of the talented Brilliant Wedding Venice staff. The location chosen for the wedding proposal is the marvelous city of Venice, so romantic and characteristic! During a normal gondola ride, Beatriz saw the banner drop with their photograph and the proposal! The girl’s reaction was fantastic! Incredulity, emotion, joy! Even John’s parents who were on the bridge of Ponte Della Canonica, have celebrated the two lovers. With John and Beatriz we then walked to Venice, in the beautiful Piazza San Marco. Here you can see some of the portraits I’ve done to the couple !

Surprise Wedding Proposal Venice With High Water

The romantic marriage proposal organized by David, with the help of the excellent staff of Brilliant Wedding Venice, for his beloved Maria has been marked by an unexpected event! High water! and what high water! the forecasts were much brighter, but then there was a powerful tide. I must say that for me it was the first time that I came across such a situation, and even though I know that for the Venetians it is a hated thing for the inconveniences it brings, I was fascinating to see this phenomenon live! Of course I also had my troubles, because even the shooting of David and Mary scheduled for the morning, was moved in the afternoon … But to see Venice submerged by water and walk with the boots, made me feel a like a little girl in a amusement park ! I bought my beautiful orange emergency and walked to Piazza San Marco and other parts of Venice with a very curious air! In the afternoon, the tide went down, so everything could have resumed normally … The gondolas started moving, the boats transported the people … and finally the surprise marriage proposal organized by David for his beloved Maria could have place! The place chosen to surprise Maria with the banner with the proposal, was the beautiful Ponte Della Canonica, in Sestiere San Marco and very close to the famous Bridge of Sighs. The proposal by David and Mary has been marked by high water and a lot of emotion! The relatives were moved and even Maria cried with emotion! Then we continued the shooting with some portraits in Piazza San Marco! Best wishes guys!

Braunyno and Elisabeth flew from England to Venice for a romantic weekend in the most beautiful city in the world. Braunyno organized with the help of the talented staff of Brilliant Wedding Venice a wonderful surprise wedding proposal for his beloved Elisabeth! During a gondola ride along the wonderful canals of Venice, Elisabeth suddenly saw a banner drop with their photograph and where it was written “Elisabeth do you want to marry me? “The girl’s surprise was incredible and full of happiness! Obviously Elisabeth said yes and Braunyno sealed the proposal with a beautiful ring! Then we continued with a wonderful gondola ride, very beautiful and quiet because by now we were in the late afternoon, and at that time Venice begins to be less full of tourists .. Then we continued our tour in Piazza San Marco, inevitable stage for a couple who comes to Venice for the first time. Here I continued to shoot portraits of the couple in the beautiful Piazza San Marco. Here I also had the wonderful news that Braunyno and Elisabeth are waiting for their first child, a news that fills them with joy and happiness! Really many emotions for these two beautiful guys! 🙂 The portrait service ended with Braunyno and Elisabeth enjoying a fantastic italian ice cream! Best wishes guys for your new life!

Venetian Carnival Portraits and Scala Contarini Del Bovolo

Elsa and Angel are a really happy couple from Miami – Florida. I met them for the first time almost 2 years ago, on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of their marriage and the renewal of the vows they held in Venice. They have a special love for Italy and especially for Venice. Elsa and Angel have returned to this fantastic city this year exclusively to experience the special atmosphere that you can breathe during the Carnival! They traveled with their clothes, very anxious and excited to experience Venice with this completely different atmosphere! And so they asked me again months ago, to be their photographer in Venice and I was very happy because in the meantime Elsa and Angel became my dear friends 🙂 The photo shoot started at the Hotel where they stayed, the Rialto Hotel, an Hotel right on the Rialto Bridge, which has a fantastic location to admire even in the evening the famous Bridge. We set off to reach Piazza San Marco, the central point in Venice where thousands of people dressed in masks walk . Here I took some pictures of them and then we took the gondola already booked by Elsa at the Stazio Danieli. During the gondola ride Angel had planned to surprise Elsa with the gift of a ring and in fact the surprise for Elsa was enormous, as well her spectacular expression! After the gondola ride, the couple absolutely wanted to visit Palazzo Contarini and the beautiful Scala Del Bovolo (Scala Contarini Del Bovolo). It is the most beautiful and famous spiral staircase in Venice, 26 meters of wonderful Venetian gothic architecture. A real gem, located near Campo Manin. This is a building that you absolutely can not visit if you go to Venice, really a pure gem! Once you have walked across the whole of the Scala, you get to the top and from there you can admire a view of Venice and the amazing Bell Tower of St Mark! It really deserves! We then concluded the portraits at the Rialto Hotel, to have a shot even in front of the wonderful bridge! thanks Elsa and Angel for the wonderful new adventure and thanks for your invitation to Miami! Proposing In Venice Wedding Proposal Photography

The winter season is a very romantic season in Italia, perhaps because of the snow that sometimes covers everything in white, or simply because of the Christmas atmosphere in the air. For these reasons, December and the winter months are a beautiful season to propose to the loved one. Philippe also did so in early December, flying to Venice from Switzerland to ask Valeria to become his wife. Venice is a unique city in the world, romantic in every season, but in my opinion in winter it is at its peak! After organizing an unmissable gondola ride along the calm canals of Venice, passing under a bridge, Valeria found the surprise of Philippe’s proposal printed with their gigantic print! the emotion was enormous for Valeria, who naturally said yes and accepted the ring! After the great moments of joy, Valeria and Philippe ended the service by having some portraits done around Venice. Here you can see some of the photos I’ve done.

A wonderful Surprise Marriage Proposal Venice

Ceylan and Irfan flew from London to Venice exclusively for organizing the surprise wedding proposal in this magic town! Irfan, helped by the excellent staff of Brilliant Wedding Venice, organized a gondola ride with his beloved Ceylan, and then surprisingly, passing under a bridge near the Bridge of Sighs, a poster was dropped with their photograph and the marriage proposal! Huge was the surprise of Ceylan, who, after accepting the ring, answered yes to his beloved Irfan. After the gondola ride, the couple wanted some portraits in the spectacular Piazza San Marco, more marvelous than usual because still decorated with Christmas lights!
